- Admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court; United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Sixth Circuits; United States District Court, Northern and Central Districts of California, and Southern District of Ohio, Western Division; and all courts in the State of California. Expertise in state and federal courts on issues involving insurance bad faith and ERISA claims for benefits; on employment matters involving harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination in violation of public policy; and civil rights cases.
- Currently, my practice is focused on civil rights issues arising in a variety of settings, including the excessive use of force by police officers, wrongful deprivation of civil or property rights, and the redress of wrongs committed by public agencies or private actors.
- Having practiced law for the past 32 years and learned successful trial lawyering, I find myself now turning my energies to the advice and counsel of young lawyers who are building their practices and eager to develop their trial skills.
- While I continue to accept new cases which make a difference, I also devote much of my time to mentoring young and eager trial lawyers.
