He received his undergraduate degree from King's College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and then he attended Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2003, and became licensed to practice law in Florida.
After completing his education, he served at the Palm Beach Office of the Public Defenders Appellate Division, where he gained valuable courtroom experience and got a firsthand look at the needs of those facing criminal charges.
