A founding partner of Hajduk Gibbs LLP, Rodger C. Gibbs has helped to shepherd the growth of the Firm and its reputation, students and associates since joining Richard B. Hajduk in 1996 as an Associate and in 1997 as a Partner. Hajduk Gibbs LLP currently has 8 associates and 2 offices, being the main office in Edmonton, Alberta, and a branch office in Calgary, Alberta.
Mr. Gibbs began his legal career in St. Paul, Alberta, a vibrant town of approximately 5,000 in north-eastern Alberta, serving that community for 5 years before joining Mr. Hajduk who had moved his practice to Edmonton the previous year.
Mr. Gibbs has participated in hundreds of trials, applications and appeals, appearing in person or by written arguments in all Alberta Courts, the Federal Court of Canada, the Supreme Court of Canada, and before numerous administrative tribunals, including the Metis Settlements Appeals Tribunal, and the Alberta Workers Compensation Claims Services Review Tribunal.
Mr. Gibbs has also assisted in mentoring numerous students-at-law and young lawyers, and has been asked to run other law offices for other lawyers for short periods of time to deal with vacations or illness of the lawyer-owners of those other law offices.
