Law Office of Larry D. Sullivan

Larry was admitted to practice law in the State of Delaware in 1991, and opened his solo practice soon thereafter, on the First day of July of 1992. Born in Alaska, with family ties in that State as well as in North Carolina, Washington, and now also in Canada, Larry has lived in Delaware since 1965. He attended Dover High School, The University of Delaware, and Delaware Law School of Widener University. Between college and law school, Larry served a two-year enlistment with the United States Army Military Police Corps. After law school, Larry served as the Clerk of the Court for New Castle Family Court, and for two years as a Staff Attorney for New Castle County Superior Court. These two courts each claim status as being the busiest court in the State of Delaware. Larry's first office, in New Castle, served his clients' needs until it was outgrown in July of 2000. In August of 2000, the practice was moved to its new, current, and hopefully, final location in Newark. Upon his return to the City of Newark, Larry was appointed Deputy Alderman of the Newark Alderman's Court. As such, for four years he presided over Court hearings involving violations of the City Code. He was one of the first two judges of Newark's Aldermans Court ever to be nominated by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate to serve in that position. Having since retired from that position, Mr. Sullivan can now represent defendants in the Aldermans Court, which is just around the corner from his private offices.
