As an immigrant himself, Varun Luthra has first-hand experience and a unique
understanding of the concerns of immigrants. With over ten years of immigration law practice,
Mr. Luthra offers his clients exceptional immigration legal services with genuine compassion.
Varun Luthra upholds two guiding principles as an immigration attorney: Persistence in finding
solutions to a problem and intelligence in resolving a client’s issues; Patience is the key to
Mr. Luthra was admitted to the practice of law as an Attorney and Counselor by the State
of New York and is also a licensed attorney in India. Varun Luthra is also a member of the
American Immigration Lawyers’ Association, the Bar Counsel of India, NAPABA, and the New
York Bar Association.
Giving back to the community is also a pivotal part of Varun Luthra’s immigration law
practice. He regularly provides pro-bono legal services to individuals in need. Mr. Luthra often
conducts immigration clinics and Know Your Rights seminars at churches, community centers,
and Sikh temples, even providing legal services in Hindi.
Mr. Luthra was born and raised in New Delhi, India. Before coming to the United States,
Mr. Luthra earned a degree in economics and political science from St. Stephen’s College of
Delhi University, India’s most prestigious institution of higher education. Varun Luthra came to
the United States on a student visa (F-1 visa) to complete his graduate studies in law. He earned
an LL.M. from Pennsylvania State University in Pennsylvania. After graduating, Varun gained
experience in the legal profession working for over eight years in boutique law firms in the
Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas. Varun then launched his own immigration
practice in Dayton, Ohio, specifically assisting immigrants in visa and deportation cases.
Mr. Luthra’s family members have also immigrated to the United States. Mr. Luthra’s
sister is a Scientist researcher at Georgia State University working on Ebola virus. His brother
earned his Ph.D. from Penn State University and now he is a Senior Data Scientist in Denver,
Colorado. Additionally, he has visited Antarctica to research on the ice sheets meltdown. His
older sister is a teacher in New Delhi, India, where their mother and father also live. Mr. Luthra’s
wife is also an Attorney focusing her practice in Patent law and was a mechanical engineer prior
to practicing law. In India, Mr. Luthra’s uncle was a patent and trademark attorney. Hearing the
stories of the law profession, Varun Luthra was inspired to pursue a career in law and become anadvocate for others.
