Gale Allison is a former estate attorney and firm owner. Now retired from law practice, she mediates Estate, Business, and Divorce/Family disputes nationally, exclusively through DRC (Dispute Resolution Consultants).

Although qualified to mediate in every area of legal disputes, she focuses on her primary practice areas:

  • Divorce (especially those in need of special privacy arrangements or Trust and Tax solutions)
  • Business (partnerships, executive or management conflicts, workplace issues)
  • Estates (trusts, wills, estate planning and business succession,estate litigation, estate and death tax allocations, etc.)
  • Elder & Adult Care (family disputes regarding care of elders and adults with disabilities)
  • She also mediaties professional negligence in regard to these areas

EDUCATION, AND CREDENTIALS: Two of Ms. Allison's dispute mediation certifications are from Pepperdine University School of Law’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Those certifications are in Mediating the Litigated Case and in Elder Care. Her third ceritifcation is in Divorce and Family Mediation from The Mediation Institute. She holds a BA in English (University of Georgia), a JD (University of Tennessee) and an LLM in Taxation (Emory University). Admitted to the Oklahoma bar in Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Georgia and all its courts, Ms. Allison is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY: A former Assistant General Counsel for Litigation for the federal government and an Estate and Gift Tax Attorney for the IRS, she entered private practice for large law firms before founding The Allison Firm, PLLC in 1996. As a boutique firm, she limited the practice to matters of estates, wills, trusts, wealth and asset protection, estate and business succession planning, estate-related tax matters, and litigating or settling disputes of the practice are. aAs an Adjunct Professor, she was asked to teach estate tax law at Northeastern State University and jurisprudence at the University of Tennessee.

CURRENT EXPERIENCE: Now retired from four decades of law practice, she mediates exclusively through DRC. Ms. Allison is a member of the Tulsa County, Oklahoma Bar, and American Bar Associations and sits on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections of each. Additionally, she is an active member of the Estate Planning Forum of Tulsa and Tulsa Title and Probate Lawyers Association. Active in many community and charitable groups, she serves on the Advisory Board of Purview (life care management), is a docent for Leon Russell's exhibit at Church Studio, and supports veterans’ causes. She speaks nationwide on every facet of estate, elder care and family matters for continuing education credit for professionals, and for business groups and general public education. She answers questions from the public on her blogs and various professional sites.
