I graduated from the Washington College of Law with an emphasis on corporate law during which time I was the recipient of scholastic awards and numerous service awards based on my essays and research papers. I worked as an editor and a writer for the Washington Post and served as a legal writer for my law school review journal developing my skills in corporate law. Since that time I have worked as a paralegal for private law firms and public firms with a focus on human rights. I remain an active member of the human rights community at Harvard Law School.
