I moved to Brevard County upon my graduation from Stetson University College of Law. I began working as a prosecutor at the Office of the State Attorney in 1996. My first assignment was as a trial attorney in the Misdemeanor division where I handled all types of cases, including Domestic Violence and DUI cases. I moved up the ranks through various promotions into the Felony divisions where I honed my trial skills and handled more complex, difficult criminal cases. During my career as an Assistant State Attorney, I worked in the Felony Intake unit, the Sex Crimes/Child Abuse unit, and the Gun Crimes unit. I ultimately became a Felony Division Chief, handling Homicide prosecutions as well as supervising junior attorneys. I have worked closely with local agencies including the various police departments, advocacy groups, and the Department of Children and Families. I now use that knowledge and experience to represent clients as they navigate through the Family court, Dependency court, Criminal court, and Federal court systems.
