After completing his undergraduate degree at Rhodes College, Mark Germain earned his Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Stetson University College of Law in 2004. After law school, his passions for trial advocacy led to the Public Defender's Office for the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida, where he served as an Assistant Public Defender. Mark S. Germain is currently a Brevard County DUI and criminal defense lawyer. His is the founding partner at the Law Offices of Germain & McCarthy, where he focuses on defending individuals charged with criminal misdemeanor and felony charges in Brevard County, Orange County, Volusia County and nearby areas.
During his tenure at the public defender's office, Mark Germain represented hundreds of individuals charged with misdemeanor, DUI and serious felony offenses. This experience gave Mark Germain the opportunity to get to know the judges and prosecutors in each division, as well as common prosecution practices. Now as a Melbourne criminal attorney, Mark Germain uses this knowledge to help defend the best interests of clients facing a variety of criminal charges. This includes charges such as driving under the influence, drug crimes, domestic violence, violent crimes, probation violation, and a variety of other offenses. Regardless of the charge faced by the client, Mark Germain gives the case his utmost attention and the benefit of his experience working within the Florida criminal justice system.
Mark Germain is an active member of the legal and local community. He has served as the President of the Brevard County Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), and the Secretary of the Brevard County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division.
